SUN AND FUN |

| Everyone
is gearing up for Sun & Fun. We will be there in the same spot we were
in last year. For those that didn’t make it last year, we are out in front
of the "D" exhibit building right next to the flight line and the aircraft
gate to the flight line. That’s about as far west in the exhibit area as
you can go. It is a great spot and does a good job of showing off the Goose.
It gives us great access to the flight line and makes it pretty easy to
get the plane in and out for fly bys and such. For anyone that is interested,
Harold Whorton is going to have a Mazda engine on display in our booth
just as a point of interest sort of thing.
The builders dinner is going to be on Monday night April 9th. This year we are going to be at "Barnhill’s", a buffet style place there in Lakeland that is fairly close and easy to reach from the field. The address is 5216 S. Florida Ave. (Hwy. 37). The phone # is 863-619-6365. They have a separate room so we can all get drunk and rowdy (well |
rowdy
anyway) and do all the Goose talking we want. We have eaten there for years
and always found it a very good place to eat. It is a one price kind of
a place and you just load up and eat all you want and get 2nds and 3rds
if you like. Everyone can just pay at the door so we won’t have to collect
any money from anyone or try to predict how many are going to show up.
They will be able to accommodate us no matter what. The cost will also
be a pleasant surprise. Should run about 10 bucks + tip a head or less.
I currently have the engine off my plane and the cylinders off the engine in an effort to correct the problem that was causing all the oil to be thrown out the vent pipe and all over the tail of the plane. The time is tight, but it looks like I should be able to get it back together and back in service for the trip. I also have several other "tweaks" to attend to to make things better. Some rewiring and repainting things. |

| PRICE
INCREASE
Inflation marches on and we regret it, but we have had to increase the price of the Glass Goose kits to $29,500. |
